BRBN is proud to support the Harvest City Church in their mission to bring joy to children in need this Christmas. With a donation of $500, BRBN is helping to provide gifts that will make the holiday season brighter for many local families. This contribution reflects BRBN's ongoing commitment to fostering community connections and supporting impactful local initiatives.

Imagine a child, through no fault of their own facing extreme difficulties such as homelessness or domestic violence, not experiencing the joy that is opening presents Christmas morning.

Since 2019, Harvest City Church, a registered charity, has been a conduit to bring joy to over 200 Redlands children on Christmas morning.  It has also shown love, kindness and bought hope to countless families.  Children are asked to complete a ‘Dear Santa’ letter with what interests they have, what they need, want and read, including their clothing and shoe size.

Sharryn Rasmussen, a Senior Pastor of Harvest City Church, who administrates the process says, “One of the most overwhelming experiences I have had is to deliver a massive sack of presents worth at least $200 to a parent or caregiver two or three days before Christmas Day, knowing that there would be absolutely nothing otherwise. Year after year, the tears from the parents and caregivers are priceless”.  “And then,” she continues, “waking up Christmas morning knowing that some child you don’t even know is opening presents and squealing with delight because of the part you played is just so precious. It never gets old.”

This year Harvest City Church needs help.  There are still some 35 children that have been identified beyond who they are currently helping.  “We know that there are people in our community that want to help others but they just don’t know ‘how’; this is an awesome ‘how’”, adds Sharryn.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

1.  SPONSOR AND SHOP for a child. You shop, pay and wrap all the gifts for your designated child. They are collected and passed on to the family.

2.  SPONSOR a child – if you don’t have time to shop, simply donate $200 and someone else will shop on your behalf.

3.  GROUP EFFORT – don’t have the budget yourself for one child?  Gather a group and collect the funds.  You can still shop or we can shop for you.
