Recently, the Business Referral Business Network (BRBN) had the privilege of welcoming a representative from Surf Life Saving Queensland based at Coochiemudlo Island Surf Life Saving Club to one of our weekly meetings.
Des shared with members the incredible work their volunteers do to keep our beaches and waterways safe. Surf lifesavers dedicate countless hours to training, patrols, and emergency response, often working in challenging conditions to ensure the safety of others.
Like many community organisations, the club relies heavily on fundraising and community support to continue their vital work. From maintaining lifesaving equipment to supporting volunteer training, every contribution helps ensure that surf lifesavers can continue protecting the community.
The visit coincided with Red and Yellow Day, a day that recognises the vital role surf lifesavers play across Queensland and throughout Australia. The iconic red and yellow colours are widely recognised as a symbol of safety, vigilance, and community spirit.
Inspired by the dedication and commitment of the volunteers, BRBN members were proud to present a $500 donation to support the ongoing work of the Coochiemudlo Island Surf Life Saving Club.
Volunteer surf lifesavers are everyday heroes who generously give their time, energy, and skills to help keep others safe. Their contribution to the local community is invaluable, and BRBN is honoured to play a small role in supporting their efforts.
Supporting local charities, volunteer groups, and community organisations is an important part of what BRBN stands for. As a not-for-profit business referral network based in the Redlands, our members are passionate about giving back to the community in which we live and work. Through fundraising, donations, and raising awareness for local causes, BRBN aims to support organisations that make a meaningful difference in the lives of others and help strengthen the Redlands community.
